Rules and Procedures

  • For competition procedures, the GSKA will follow the current CKNA rulebook.  Click here to visit CKNA’s site for the most current rules and updates.
  • For additional Track and Club policies, and the Code of Conduct, please download the GSKA Supplemental Rules Book using the link provided below.  In the event of a conflict between GSKA & CKNA policies, the GSKA policy will be given preference
  • The GSKA’s will continue to maintain its own class Class Structure.
  • Lamar County Speedway does not utilize tram lines and that portion of the CKNA Rule Book is not applicable.
  • The GSKA reserves the right to add, adjust, or amend rules or procedures at any given time with due notice.

Vintage 4 Cycle Ruleset

The 2024 Vintage 4-cycle rules for GSKA (Georgia Sprint Karting Association)
and GKCS (Georgia Karting Championship Series) outline regulations
regarding engine specifications, chassis requirements, and safety standards,
for Vintage 4-cycle karting competitions. These rules aim to ensure fair
competition and safety while preserving the authenticity and nostalgia of
Vintage Karting. For specific details, it’s best to refer directly to the official
ruleset documents provided below by GSKA for the 2024 season.

Chassis

• 1990 or older.
• Front spindle 5/8” (.625) OD max.
• Rear Axle 1.250” OD  max and 1.00” OD minimum.
• No adjustable front end. Including, but not limited to offset pills, adjustable yolks, and
snipers.
• Rear track width 50” max.
• The steering shaft must be solid with a maximum OD of 5/8” (.625.)
• No bodywork allowed.

Seats

• Seat rules per CKNA – CIK ruleset.

Engine

• Engine rules follow the WKA ruleset for Briggs stock flathead engines.
• The muffler cannot extend past the rear bumper.

Drivetrain

• 53 tooth minimum rear sprocket size.
• #35 chain – ONLY.
• Noram GE or Premier Magnum clutch, ONLY.

Wheels

• Front wheels – 6-1/2” max outside width.
• Rear wheels – 8-1/2” max outside width.
• The only permitted wheels must be manufactured with spun aluminum. One or two-piece
wheels are allowed.
